Band Pull Aparts

This exercise requires a resistance band. I recommend a light one to start off with. It doesn’t take long for those shoulders to heat up.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Taking the band between your thumb and first finger, lift your arms over your head and pull the band apart.

  2. The thumbs will be to the front of the room and the pinky fingers to the back.

  3. As you spread the arms apart, think about the shoulder blades separating in the back.

  4. Gently pull your armpits downward as you pull apart.

  • This recruits your serratus anterior.
