Neck Flexion with Ball

The goal of this exercise is to get our deep neck flexor muscles to turn on (front of your neck). Sometimes our muscles work best when they can get a little feedback or information from sources around them. So we are using our fist or a small ball to connect the chin to the chest. (It might not reach, that's ok!!)

This might feel like a stretch in the back of the body and maybe even into the shoulder blades. Take your time with this one and do just what you feel you can do. We don't want to go too far the other way and start using already tense muscles. I don't think I mention it on the video, but putting the tongue on the roof of your mouth can help activate the right muscles.

In fact try this without the tongue and then with. The palatine spot on the roof of your mouth stimulates your cranial nerves and activates your deep neck flexor muscles.
