SCM Stretch

Your SCM (sternocleidomastoid) muscles run from your clavicles and sternum to the back of your skull. They insert on the mastoid process of your temporal bone. That is behind each ear. When you take the head into that rotated and upward movement, you will feel it in the back of the head.

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Remember to hold for 15-20 seconds to start with and then try to work up to 30.

  • You only need to do it once or twice on each side.

  • But if you can remember to do it twice a day, that will make it even more effective.
